  2. introduction Engineer are directly connected with the creation work and hence they need help of drawing at every step and stage. Designing the components of the proposed product Knowing shape and size of parts of product Deciding final dimensions Estimating matrials requirements Estimating cost of article Giving instructions to articians Supervision work during creation Checking and apporving parts produced

  3. Types of civil engineering drawings Index map :-index map shows the locations of building other important details and rosads etc of the selected area buildings and details are numbered and dtheir dexcriptions are mentined in the index show in the plan these maps are useful to unknown peson to find the exact location of the place of this selection .index map is located at the entrance.

  4. Key plan Key plan:-key plans are the maps prepared to know the location and connecting routes of selected structure or area they are useful in selecting the most appropriate route to reach up to the place key plans may be prepared with or without scales but approximate distances should be judged from the plan.

  5. Topographical map Information about contours hills valley ponds, railways routes, important places bridges etc can the obtained from topographical map such maps are prepared by the department of survey of india after carrying out accurate survey work these maps are considered important for the movement of army and hence are easily available for general purpose these maps provide important preliminary information's for projects like roads irrigation railway drainage etc.

  6. Village map Village map:-based upon the maps of survey number prepared originally by the revenue department town planning authority prepared development plans showing roads final plots subplots public places etc for the town. These maps are useful for preparing site plans for proposed building and for getting information for project

  7. Site plan Shape and size of building Building in plot Length of sides of plot Margins Area of pload Northline Trees in plot Drainage line Width of approach road

  8. Large scale drawing It is difficult to give details of reinforcement for RCC components of building . In working drawing same is true for details of foundation doors windows kitchen details arrangement of furniture in room also for execution work the dimension and details should be clearly readable

  9. Enlarge scale drawing Details of joints in carpentry work dimensions and details of aldrop bolt tower bolt or different types of valves handles etc can not be given even in large scale drawings drawings for such articles are prepared by selecting larger scales sections of door posts.
