Introduction to BYD (Build Your Dreams) About BYD BYD is a high-tech company devoted to technological innovations for a better life. Founded in February 1995, BYD has grown from a start-up with only 20 employees into a global company with 220 thousand employees today. Throughout its 23 years of high-speed growth, BYD has established over 30 industrial parks across six continents and has played a significant role in industries related to electronics, automobiles, new energy and rail transit. From energy generation and storage to its applications, BYD is dedicated to providing zero-emission energy solutions. BYD is listed on the Hong Kong and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges, with revenue and market capitalization each exceeding RMB 100 billion. Brand Mission Technological innovation for a better life During the daytime, solar farms capture the power of sunshine; at night, energy storage systems deliver power to families. Electric vehicles on the streets and SkyRail systems along green belts connect the city with zero emissions and zero pollution. We provide more possibilities for a better life. We see a new energy future approaching. This is the mission of BYD, and the green dream of all mankind. BYD Auto Business In 2003, BYD entered the automotive business by purchasing the Tsinchuan Automobile Company Limited (now BYD Auto Company Limited) and started to develop national own brand automobiles. Its automotive products include auto moulds and parts, high-end, medium-end and low-end fuel vehicles, dual mode electric cars and pure electric cars. Among these are traditional high quality fuel vehicles like the F3, F3R, F6, F0, S8, G3, M6, L3, G3R, S6, Song, Yuan and so on. BYD follows the Unique, Superior, Proactive and Leading approach in the NEV field. In 2015, BYD initiated its 7+4 Full Market EV Strategy , a strategy that aims to replace all fossil fuel consumption in the road transport field with electricity. From the initial new energy consumer vehicles, buses, taxis and forklifts, to the NEVs for such fields as road passenger transportation, coach, logistics vehicle, construction vehicle and sanitation vehicle, BYD keeps moving forward steadily. In 2017, BYD NEVs will further penetrate into the specialized fields of airports, ports, warehouse and mining, significantly enlarging its NEV footprint.
