CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS Available on CASC website Revision (Done by Kyle Kackley) Calvert County Collaborative for Youth added as an affiliate member of CASC MASC appointed and elected staff given voting priviledges Dues were raised by $5 to reflect the increase in student number and CASC activities MASC Liaison and Relay for Life Coordinator made permanent positions SMOB campaigning rules $25 dollars spending limit and no edible items can be used High School receives 4 electoral votes, middle schools receive 2 SMOB candidate must receive half + 1 votes to win All revisions will be put up to the General Assembly on February 8th, and will go into effect for the next school year

GOALS Educate the community of our organization Make sure citizen s are aware of who we are and what we do Offer CASC involvement in other s endeavor Encourage adults and those not involved to become involved Restructure the organization to reflect new initiatives and new members Create a more group intensive work environment Expand CASC s opportunities and abilities to their maximum Participation Encourage and allow all students, no matter what school or what education level they are, to become active members Make sure students know they have a voice in their school system Communication with schools Meet with school executive officials Visit the middle schools Make sure students are aware of CASC s actions
GOALS Create new bonds Get inspirational students and adults to speak and interact with students through general assemblies and meetings Preserve that bond through continued contact Collaborate with MASC Aid in volunteer efforts for Operation Second Chance Become involved in the Maryland Health Initiative Educate students Improve leadership skills, confidence, and communication skills Teach students about the diversity of their community BOE themed months Themed General Assemblies
MASC (CASCS PARENT ORGANIZATION) How does MASC relate to CASC? MASC Executive Board meetings President, Second Vice President, and SMOB attend and vote Others may attend as well as non-voting delegates High School Leadership Conference Bus full of attendees Many CASC members teaching workshops Legislative Session Lobbying Day Many students attended, bus was a success last year, would like to repeat last years large delegation Convention State Charity Operation Second Chance

Calvert Crusade for Children Handle administrative tasks Dues, CASC gear, registration, etc. Advertise and recruit for MASC events Update on legislative affairs Update from SMOB Update from advisor
SOUTHERN MARYLAND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE Here we go again! 4 counties to participate Calvert St. Marys Prince Georges Charles Date is scheduled for April 13th, 2013 at PHS CASC to teach 10 workshops, 5 workshops from other counties At least 100 students signed up to happen Attendance!!! Counties will each give a presentation Everyone is more than welcome to attend!
