  2. Accreditation Standard related to Planning Standard on planning (I.B.9): The institution engages in continuous, broad based, systematic evaluation and planning. The institution integrates program review, planning, and resource allocation into a comprehensive process that leads to accomplishment of its mission and improvement of institutional effectiveness and academic quality. Institutional planning addresses short- and long-range needs for educational programs and services and for human, physical, technology, and financial resources. (ER 19) 4/12/2025 2

Education Code related to Plan (1 of 2) 51008 Comprehensive Plan (a) The governing board of a community college district shall establish policies for, and approve, comprehensive or master plans which include academic master plans and long range master plans for facilities. The content of such plans shall be locally determined, except that the plans shall also address planning requirements specified by the Board of Governors. (b) Such plans, as well as any annual updates or changes to such plans, shall be submitted to the Chancellor's Office for review and approval in accordance with Section 70901(b)(9) of the Education Code and with regulations of the Board of Governors pertaining to such plans. 4/12/2025 3

Education Code related to Plan (2 of 2) 55080 Adoption and Content of Plans (a) The governing board of each community college district shall establish policies for, and approve, current and long range educational plans and programs for each community college which it maintains and for the district as a whole. (b) Each plan shall be modified and brought up to date periodically as deemed necessary by the governing board. (c) Each plan shall contain the educational objectives of the community college or district and the future plans for transfer programs, career technical programs, noncredit courses and programs, and remedial and developmental programs. On the basis of current and future enrollment, it shall contain plans for the development and expansion of ancillary services, including services in the library and for counseling, placement, and financial aid. 4/12/2025 4

  8. Planning Options Analysis Focused Flex 8/9/2017 Overall, the rating of the Focused Flex evaluation result is highly positive even though the return rate of 22% (18 out of 82) is low. Overall the comments are positive, participants learned our intended outcomes, and had a fun time. Please note, only eight (8) people provided commentary. Planning Option C seemed favorable among survey respondents. The results of the table activity during Focused Flex seemed favorable Planning Option C. Survey Monkey Results 8/28/2017 There are 42 completed survey; 27 from faculty, 5 from classified staff, and 10 from managers. Two respondents selected Option A (both are faculty) and 40 respondents selected Option C. Ninety-five (95%) of respondents selected Option C 4/12/2025 8

Planning Committee reviewed and approved administrative, student services, and instructional comprehensive program review templates on Thursday, Sept 7 Planning Committee meeting.
