The Cancer Services Program (CSP) aims to enhance cancer screening among New Yorkers at higher risk, including uninsured individuals facing financial barriers and underserved populations with limited access to healthcare. Eligibility criteria focus on age, insurance status, income, and screening history. The program targets men and women aged 40 and above, emphasizing the importance of timely screenings to detect cancer early for better treatment outcomes. Additionally, underserved individuals with characteristics like low income, limited education, and language skills, as well as recent immigrants, are highlighted for support. The impact of COVID-19 on cancer screening is addressed, stressing the importance of continuing screenings for early cancer detection. Contact Program Manager Suzanne Hagadorn for more information.
