  3. LESSON # 1. Topic: The human brain The aim of the lesson: Collaborate in small groups working with new vocabulary and discussing about well developed functions of your (students ) brain and identify which functions of brain need to be developed; At the end of the lesson students will be able to: Talk about the capabilities of the human brain in small groups applying appropriate subject specific vocabulary (react, experience, beat, identify, have an effect on sth, enjoy, convert, learn, invent, tell, imagine, allow); In small groups identify the well-developed functions of your brain and predict which of them you would like to improve in yourself;

  5. Pre watching task: Divide the students into 3 groups; You have 5 minutes to discuss the capabilities of the human brain in groups; Ask each group to share their 5 capabilities of the human brain;

  6. While watching task. LET S watch the video Group A Group B Group C Fill in the gaps in the texts in A-D with the words Put a tick next to the statements mentioned in the video. Name 3 features of the human brain that impressed you the most. WHY? React, experience, beat, identify, strong, enjoy, converts, learn, written, invent, tell, imagine.

  7. Ask students to answer two open questions in pairs and talk about their own capabilities of the brain. 1. What are the most important capabilities of the human brain? Give reasons. 2. Which of these capabilities would you like to improve in yourself? Why?

  8. Lets wrap-up the lesson! 1. What have you learned today? 3. What input have you done in your group? 2. What was the most difficult part of the lesson for you? 4. What question would you like to ask?
