Capacity-building Initiative for Transparency by GEF Secretariat
This initiative aims to support developing country Parties in meeting enhanced transparency requirements as defined in the Paris Agreement, with a focus on strengthening national institutions, providing tools and assistance, and improving transparency over time. The GEF Council approved the establishment and programming directions of the CBIT in June 2016, emphasizing the importance of supporting the initiative through voluntary contributions.
