  1. CONFEDERATION PARKS 100 CHALLENGE

  2. This is Captain Tom Moore. He lives in England. He was born on April 30, 1920.

  3. When he heard about Covid-19, he decided that he wanted to do something to make a difference.

  4. He decided to create a challenge for himself. His challenge was to walk around his 25 metre garden 100 times before his 100th birthday. He did a few laps every day and it took him 24 days to finish. He asked friends and family to sponsor his walk by giving money to charity.

  5. His goal was to raise 1000 which is about $1700 in Canadian money. GRAEME BANDEIRA, YORKSHIRE POST

  6. By the time that he finished his walk on his birthday, he had raised 32,000,000 or $54,499,079 (Cdn)

  7. People from around the world decided to send birthday cards to Captain Tom Moore. Here are some of them. He received over 125,000 birthday cards.
