Energy Savings Assistance Program PU Code Section 2790 requires the CPUC to provide energy efficiency services to qualifying low-income households. Energy Savings Assistance Program (contd) 2018 MULTIFAMILY UPDATES Tribal Activities No. of Federally- Recognized Tribes SPOC: All IOUs have some SPOC facilitation at this time. IOU Activities Common Areas: IOUs filed MF Common Area Measures Initiative Implementation Plans on March 1, 2018 and were effective March 31, 2018, except SDG&E, which was effective May 30, 2018, respectfully PG&E 51 Completed initial CARE-ESA penetration assessments of eligible customer households on tribal lands. Continuing work to design comprehensive contact strategies and integrated program offering. Discussions with CSD re potential leveraging outreach and projects. SCE 12 Offered the ESA Program to all twelve (12) tribal communities. Four (4) have been completed.Currently in discussions with the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT), planning engagement with four (4) tribes, and awaiting responses from three (3) tribal communities. Sponsored Cal State Dominguez Hills 8th Annual Pow Wow in Los Angeles in April. An information booth was at the event with Customer Assistance Program information. Two meetings were held, one with Tracy Stanhoff, President of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce, and the other with Stephanie Green, CPUC Tribal Liaison, to discuss further involvement and coordination with Native American tribes within SoCalGas territory. Additional follow- up and meetings are scheduled in third quarter 2018. Tribal outreach was conducted with Southern California American Indian Resource Center (SCAIR) at an event at Cal State San Marcos. SCAIR and Southern California Tribal Chairmen s Association (SCTCA) attended the Energy Solutions Partner Roundtable where they learned about changes to the programs and about TOU Pricing Plan Options. SCAIR and SCTCA also shared program information in their newsletters and through social media reaching over 1,000 customers. SoCalGas Advice 5264 PG&E Advice 3943-G/5241-E SDG&E Advice 3196-E-A/2654-G-A SCE Advice 3754-E SoCalGas 20 ENERGY EDUCATION IOUs are working together on training and collateral materials.
