Strengthen Career Communities that have not yet received funding at the time of the grant submission and review phase. To fully accept this award, recipients will need to submit confirmation approval by their supervisor or faculty/staff advisor & schedule a Pre-Award meeting with Career Center.

  11. Career Communities Micro-Grant Tips for Success Let your chair, dean, faculty/staff advisor know you plan to apply. Ask if/how they want to see your proposal before it is submitted. Keep in mind that your proposal will be read by CC staff. Minimize jargon and explain terms that will not be easily understood. Ask yourself, are there any gaps in the planning, implementation, or assessment of the grant activity that might be questioned by the reviewers? If so, explain why your proposed activity clearly aligns with the programming priorities of the Career Communities Proofread and have someone else read your proposal. If you are working with non-TU collaborators, remember that these are university-based grants, and funding should focus on student engagement. The goal of the grant activities should be to collaborate, innovate, and promote the integration of career-readiness into curricula and co-curricular activities. Proposal requests must not exceed $500. Funding requests ranging from $100 to $500 are welcome. Partial funding will also be considered.
