  2. About Me Have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Student taught as part of my degree for 2 years, and also helped at an in-home daycare Currently pursuing Bachelors Degree in Human Development & Family Studies Volunteering with Craig Clifton Inc as part of my coursework

My Experiences: Why I chose, Favorite thing, Challenges, Advice I Would Give I chose ECE because I really enjoyed working and building relationships with children and wanted to channel that into helping future generations have a successful introduction to learning and school. My favorite thing about teaching Early Childhood was watching the children get excited about learning and seeing the light/lightbulb when they understood/learned a new skill Challenges: Discipline Advice: Take time for self care Don t be afraid to have fun with lesson planning/teaching. The more excited you are, the more excited they ll be too!

Education & Training Programs vary in length 4 year Bachelors (Usually includes licensure to teach K-6thgrade) 2 year Associates (Allows you to work in daycare centers, preschools, Head Start programs) 1 Year Certificate Other training: Child Abuse and Neglect training SIDS Training Blood Borne Pathogen training CPR First Aid

  5. Skill Set Observant Patient Organized Time Management Behavioral Management Critical Thinking Skills Creative People Skills

Daily Responsibilities Lesson Planning/Implementing lessons Working with small and large groups Transitioning to and from different activities throughout the day Teaching life skills (i.e. problem solving, conflict resolution, etc.) Interacting with children during free play/activities/recess Interacting with parents before and after school
