Medical Causes Self medication: Self medication can also lead to drug addiction. Continuous use of Drugs: Some time Continuous use of drugs also leads to Drug Addiction.
Psychological Causes Weak personality: Sometime weak personality leads to drug addiction, as the person, under pressure, stress, depression or who has anxiety, starts taking drugs to reveal tension.
Economic Causes Unemployment, underemployment: Unemployment, underemployment are also one of the major causes of drug addiction. Poverty: Poverty is also one of the major causes of Drug Addiction. Loss in Money: Some time Loss in Money also leads to drug addiction.
Social Causes Peer Pressure and Curiosity : The Leading Major causative factor of drug abuse is having friends who may experience drugs and curiosity, especially at initial drug experimentations. Use of Drugs for Fun/Enjoyment: It s very common cause that young youth start taking drug just for fun or enjoyment which further leads toAddiction.
Drug Culture in Family: Drug culture in family, encourage young once also to use Drugs. Lack of Family Control: One of the causes of taking Drugs is lack of control of the head of the family over the children. To improve working capacity: some individuals take drugs to improve their working capacity.
Broken Homes: In some cases children of the broken homes starts taking drugs. Disturbed Family: In some cases the member of the disturbed family start taking drug.
Lack of Recreational Facilities: Reasonable play and recreational facilities are quite necessary for the masses. If the leisure time of the masses recreational and play activities, their attention can be diverted to constructive activities rather then in criminal activities like drugs. is spent in better
Illiteracy & Ignorance: Mass Illiteracy & Ignorance of the people is also one of the major causes for the number of crimes including Taking Drugs. Easy Availability of the Drugs: Easy availability of the drugs is also the cause of Drug addicts in the society.
