BUILD, LEVERAGE, AND PROTECT AMENITY DRIVEN GROWTH Former Priority Issue #10 Resident Wellbeing, Placemaking, and Quality of Life Could Include: Includes elements of: Environmental Protection Sustainable Tourism (managing the impacts of increasing visitors to the region) Initiative: Advocate for changes in Transient Room Tax statue to allow for more flexibility and local investment Maintaining our natural resources and recreation amenities Benefits: to promote and preserve the region, increase talent attraction and investment Encouraging the development of placemaking increasing community amenities across the region Manage: consequences of growth, cost of living increases, infrastructure impacts Agenda Item 4.B
