  1. CARNIVAL IN GREECE

  2. Carnival is a cultural festival in our country. We celebrate the beginning of spring . We go to parties and dance.

  3. We wear costumes like princess, policeman, spiderman and make masks.

  4. Tsiknopemti or Smelly Thursday is the Thursday of the second week of Apokria during which we eat meat usually grilled

  5. In Kozani, a town very close to us, people light fires and dance around it.

  6. The most famous carnival is in Patra where people parade with costumes and floats

  7. Carnival period finishes on Clean Monday. On that day we eat lagana , a kind of bread, olives and we fly kites
