  2. Our History CHC was founded in 1979 and traces our roots to Endeavor, a drug and alcohol treatment and prevention center founded in 1970. In 1975, Endeavor separated its treatment and prevention education divisions. Four years later, the prevention education division became an independent organization known as the Center for Humanistic Change, Inc. Center For Humanistic Change

  3. Who we are The Center for Humanistic Change gives people, especially youth, the knowledge and tools they need to make better-informed and more positive life choices. We offer evidence-based and custom-designed education programs focused primarily on building resiliency and preventing substance abuse that gives people the knowledge and skills they need to make better choices. We serve students, counselors, parents, social service providers, teachers, administrators, and others interested in personal growth and development. Center For Humanistic Change

  5. Program Highlights Student Assistance Program Universal Prevention Programs Project SUCCESS/Crossroads Mentoring Program Heroin and Opioid Prevention Education Programs including Current Drug Trends, Vaping, Choices, Chances, Changes, and Mock Teen Bedroom Center For Humanistic Change

  6. Achievements During the 2020-2021 fiscal year, CHC served 15,678 individuals. Of those 15,678, 69% or 10,832 were between the ages of 5 and 20. Through our Student Assistance Program, we served 93 of the 93 schools in Lehigh County and 55 of the 55 schools in Northampton County. In addition, CHC s Commonwealth Approved Training Program certified 125 new SAP professionals. The Project SUCCESS/Crossroads Mentoring Program reached 614 students from 31 schools throughout the Lehigh Valley. The Heroin and Opioid Prevention Education Program served 2,312 people.
