Principles Guiding Our Plan Follow guidance of CDC, American Academy of Pediatricians, state and local departments of health, to ensure the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff; Provide full day, in-person instruction for all students, 5 days a week; Offer all programs and services to students including opportunities for participation in school activities and athletics; strong emphasis on students social/emotional well-being. 7/27/2021 2

Health and Safety Three feet physical distancing in classrooms; Face coverings to be worn at all times indoors by students, staff and visitors Students can remove face coverings during meals and for short mask breaks; Will be provided to students and staff, if needed, at no cost; Acceptable coverings include cloth based and surgical masks that cover both nose and mouth; bandanas, single-ply gaiters and masks with an exhalation valve are not acceptable; What if a child refuses to wear a mask? 7/27/2021 5
Health and Safety There will be no daily attestation form, but students and staff who have a fever of 100 degrees F or higher and/or other symptoms of possible COVID-19 virus infection should NOT come to school; Required Health Hygiene Practices: Hand Hygiene Respiratory Etiquette Physical Distancing 7/27/2021 6
Health and Safety Ventilation increased to maximum (adjusted seasonally) Open windows and doors as safety allows Adhere to cleaning and disinfecting requirements as advised by CDC and DOH: Dailycleaning to include frequently touched surfaces All classrooms, etc. provided hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, gloves; Complete, targeted disinfection after confirmed case. 7/27/2021 7
Testing/Contact Tracing Students or staff with signs of illness will be directed to designated area; referred to healthcare provider for testing; District will follow guidance of ACDOH for determining close contacts and need for quarantine; Close contacts (within 6 feet for 15 minutes within 2 days of illness) will need to quarantine; Exception: In K-12 indoor classroom setting, students within 3-6 feet are NOT a contact if both infected and exposed students were correctly and consistently wearing well-fitting mask. 7/27/2021 8
Quarantine* Close contacts who are not fully vaccinated should quarantine at home for 14 days; Local health department may shorten quarantine with a combination of testing/negative result; Fully vaccinated, asymptomatic contacts do not need to quarantine, but should be tested 3-5 days after exposure. * Subject to further guidance from ACDOH 7/27/2021 9
Transportation Physical distancing on buses is not feasible; Students and school staff must wear acceptable face coverings at all times on school buses; Caregivers are encouraged to drive or walk students to school to reduce density; Windows and hatches open to improve ventilation (seasonal); Daily cleaning, including high contact areas; No bus passes for alternative routes. 7/27/2021 10
School Meals Maximize physical distancing; 3 feet (if possible) both in service line and while eating; Use of alternate large spaces for seating Cohort seating by class (assigned tables) Mix of classrooms and cafeterias used at elementary level Cleaning between groups of students Students may remove masks when seated and eating; No sharing of food/beverages; hygiene encouraged. 7/27/2021 11
Athletics All sports at all levels offered in Fall season; Masks required by athletes and coaches indoors; Physical distance promoted whenever possible; Screening tests for unvaccinated athletes in high risk sports (football, volleyball, cheer) during periods of high transmission; Limitations on spectators at large or indoor events still under review. 7/27/2021 12
Music All curricular and extra-curricular music programs offered at all levels; Masks required by musicians when indoors or when playing wind instruments or singing; Bell covers required for brass and wind instruments; 3 feet of physical distancing will be maintained; Consideration for live performances with or without audiences is still ongoing. 7/27/2021 13
