General information about timing of census operations and activities Census listing May-June 2021 Census virtual training 2 weeks Oct 2021 With SPC TA Toga, Scott and Luis Field equipment and tablets arrived before enumeration period Census enumeration 2-3 weeks Nov 2021 (actually until early Dec 2021 due to delays)

  3. General challenges with census implementation Delaying during enumeration fieldwork Due to slow process payment each new week to renew weekly top-up credit from Digicel and Treasury Enumerators have to wait especially those who are unemployed and unable to afford to pay top-up credit themselves Resolving the issue: Some enumerators were able to pay top-up credit themselves Enumerators unable to afford to pay themselves, myself as a coordinator I was able to pay at least daily top-up credit at my own cost and claim reimbursement later

  4. General challenges with census implementation Enumerators fall short Shortage 11 enumerators from the required 50 allocations Successful applicants withdraws before the training starts 3 Enumerators withdraws during enumeration period due to incompetency and making negative reasons Resolving the issue: Using the existing enumerators that completed their EAs early, to take up the extra workload and also received extra payment allowance

  5. Any specific challenges resulting from COVID-19 Nauru was COVID free during Census Training conducted through Virtual mode Enumeration conducted Face to face mode Enumerators still carry protective items in their Census bags Face-shield, face mask, disposable gloves, sanitizers
