  2. Definitions Streamlining make (an organization or system) more efficient and effective by employing faster or simpler working methods

  3. Definitions COLLABORATION In the workplace, collaboration occurs when two or more people work together towards a common goal that benefits the team or company. Workplace collaboration requires interpersonal skills, communication skills, knowledge sharing and strategy, and can occur in a traditional office or between members of a virtual team or with wider groups.

Collaboration (streamlining) PROJECTS EXAMPLES Paper work Pre-employment questionnaire, Management referral form and response template, night workers questionnaire Standards SEQOHS, service delivery TB screening, transfer of immunisations and vaccinations Processes/SOP s Management of risk The management of Hepatitis B shortage Local housing association, Dental Practices. Hub and spoke model delivery Peer Networking Networking group set up to support C&M OH teams Occupational Health provision for OH teams Agreed reciprocal arrangements for referral of OH/HR staff within NHS across C&M OH training Report writing training for all OH advisers in C&M OH Physician s Sharing of expertise, trainee opportunities

Collaboration (streamlining) during Covid-19 PROJECTS Risk Assessment Developed, shared and updated regularly in line with PHE/Government guidance Staff Swabbing Sharing of SOP s, Templates and flow charts 7 day a week support between 5 Trusts PHE Support and advice and sharing of guidance throughout the team Vaccination Hubs EXAMPLES Shared rota for weekend on-call Support, advice and sharing of process

  7. Quality Focus Initiatives Standardisation of Key Performance Indicators for key OH activities across the region, including Management Referral appointment times, face to face health screening. Pre-employment form used throughout Cheshire & Merseyside NHS OH departments providing a consistency of approach which provides assurance with regards to safety, effectiveness and quality Established 2 working days for print off of immunisation and vaccinations following request from individual, which assists in reduction of time to hire (this is the current model in use ahead of bidirectional interface)

Benefits realisation Avoid duplication of effort/work across the regions by effective communication across wider geography Ensure focus is maintained on the desired/required outcomes Understand what success looks like Evaluate appropriately Embrace synergistic opportunities Consistency of approach - report writing training for OHNs Peer auditing critical friend in support of SEQOHS planning Cost benefit analysis using resources wisely
