  1. Concert Chorus, One Voice, and Key of She MISS SARAH GOTHERS

  2. Choral Program: Purpose Develop musically, intellectually, and personally. All ensembles, while performance-oriented, will work to improve vocal technique, musical literacy, ear training, and sight-singing. Therefore, the dedication and commitment of each student is vital. We strive to be the best we can be in all respects: musicianship, citizenship, and scholarship.

Grading Policy Concert Choir 40% - concert performance One Voice/Key of She 35% - concert performance 25% - individual performance 10% - community performance 20% - written evaluations 25% - individual performance 15% - attitude/behavior/effort 15% - written evaluations 15% attitude/behavior/effort

  4. Grading Policy Absences from Rehearsals/Performances Unexcused tardy: 10 points subtracted for every 15 minutes late. Excused tardy: 5 points subtracted for every 15 minutes late. With completed make-up work, students can earn 50% of missed points back. Unexcused absence: 0/100 points With completed make-up work, maximum grade of 60/100 Excused absence: 85/100 With completed make-up work, maximum grade of 95/100

The Skills of a High School Singer: Read and interpret musical notes and symbols Accurate performance of pitches and rhythms Appropriate interpretation and understanding of composer s intent Assessment of solo and ensemble performance Aural skills intervals, major/minor, solfege, etc. Sight-singing skills Altogether = Musical Literacy
