  1. In My House Part 10 Education & Training of Children & Families Christian Parenting PSALM 68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. 6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

  2. THE.BAPTISM.OF.THE.HOLY.SPIRIT 2 Now, we're studying and trying to just take our time upon this church doctrine. There may be some strangers with us that I don't know I'd announced that this would just be for members, because people has so many different doctrines, when you come into another church and it teaches something very contrary, they think, "Say, I don't agree with that." Well, we don't mean to be rude or to hurt anyone, the reason we do this... Now, you believe whatever you wish, but I'm placing it and have to make it real strong, In My House 10 2 8/7/2024

  3. because we have to clinch it down. This is what the Tabernacle, just what we stand for here. And that way, we wouldn't want you to feel offended and think that we were trying to hurt you and your belief or anything like that. That's not at all. We go through this about every two or three years around here, what we stand for, just the doctrine what we stand for and why we believe this. And so if there be strangers here who is not a member of the church, we're certainly glad to have you to set in on this discussion this morning and also tonight. 58-0928 In My House 10 3 8/7/2024

  4. Christian Parenting: The fundamental goal for Christian parents should be to guide their children to a saving faith in Christ and to set them on a path to maturity, bringing them to the full measure of his glory (Eph 4:13). Parenting is one of God s most important callings. Children are a gift and blessing from God (Ps. 127:3-5). God does not expect parents to be perfect. He encourages us to look to Him, the forerunner and perfecter of our faith, and to follow in his footsteps as best we can, seeking his guidance (Heb 12:2). In My House 10 4 8/7/2024

  5. THE.SERPENT'S.SEED 21-7 God hid it from the eyes of the wise and prudent and promised to reveal it to the sons of God in the last days, when the sons of God would be made manifest. When God's sons that rejoiced with Him before the foundation of the world, when the great revelation of the Godhead and things would be brought down in the last days, He would manifest these things to the sons of God. And here we are. That's the reason that God is opening these things to us. God is bringing His sons into manifestation. Revelation 3 5 March 18, 2012

  6. He's going beyond the limitations of any human knowledge, way into the spiritual revelations and bringing it down. Haven't we been teaching in this Bible, "Here's to him that has wisdom." Not what he learned in some seminary, but what he can learn on his knees before God, and what pleased God to give him: sons of God made manifest. 58-0928 Revelation 3 6 March 18, 2012

  7. HEAR.YE.HIM 24 Now, in the Old Testament when this baby boy was born, the father hired a tutor, or a teacher. (Galatians) the father picked out the best man that he could find for the job, because he was certainly interested in his child. And any father's that way that's a real father. That's just the love of a parent to a child. And this father went around and found the very best tutor that could raise his son, and could bring up his son, educate his son, and teach his son to follow in his father's footsteps. 57-0310 A Wise Man is Strong 7 06-20-2021

  9. PROVERBS 1:7-8 (Solomon) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: II CHRONICLES 11:16-17 (Rehoboam) 16 And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers. 17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of David and A Wise Man is Strong Solomon. 9 06-20-2021

  10. There are three things against which the wise man guards: Lust when Young, Quarrels when Strong, and Covetousness when Old. A Wise Man is Strong 10 06-20-2021

  11. LUKE 11:49-52 49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: 50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; 51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. 52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. Revelation 3 11 March 18, 2012

  12. John Wesley 52. Key of knowledge-not the key to open knowledge, the only key to open heaven. In Matt. 23:13 , they are accused of shutting heaven; here of taking away the key, which was worse. A right knowledge of God's Word is eternal life (John 17:3 ); but this they took away from the people, substituting for it their wretched traditions. JOHN 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Revelation 3 12 March 18, 2012

  13. PHILIPPIANS 3:7-9 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Revelation 3 13 March 18, 2012

  14. Key of Knowledge: (Gr.) gnosis The general knowledge of Christian principles, the deeper more perfect and enlarged knowledge, such as belongs to the more advanced, especially of things lawful and unlawful for Christians; moral wisdom, such as is seen in right living. Example: I Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. Revelation 3 14 March 18, 2012

  16. Types of Parents: The Authoritarian: This is the "because I told you so" parent who is likely to degrade a child and ignore the child s point of view. The Authoritative: This is a mom or dad who sets carefully defined limits for children, the one who is a good role model and praises children for their efforts. In My House 10 16 8/7/2024

  17. The Permissive: This is the parent who is afraid to set limits on children or believes a child has to be true to his or her own nature. The Overprotective: This is the parent who wants to protect their children from harm, hurt and pain, unhappiness, bad experiences and rejection, hurt feelings, failure and disappointments. In My House 10 17 8/7/2024

  18. Family rules can be beneficial. Children learn what is/isn t acceptable behaviour; Children learn that rules are a part of life; They govern how your family behaves with each other; They build a calm, harmonious home atmosphere; They help parents determine when a consequence is necessary. You ll need to revisit your rules over time to see if they re still functioning In My House 10 and alter them to meet your family s requirements and circumstances. 18 8/7/2024

  19. (5) God in his holy dwelling, is a father to orphans and defender of widows. (6) God gives homes to those who are alone and leads prisoners out into prosperity. But rebels must live in a parched wasteland. PSALM 68:5 A father of the father- less, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. 6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. 20. A Protective Father protective Father. The Bible says that He is Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation (Psalm 68:5). God also knows how to answer our prayers; it can be yes, no, or not now. It might even be, I ve got something better for you, or No,you ll hurt yourself. Scripture is clear about God and His nature as a In My House 10 20 8/7/2024

  21. All we need to do is to Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent (Matt 7:7-10)? Verse 10 points out that God will not give us something that will hurt us. We can ask, seek, and knock, and He still won t give us a scorpion. In My House 10 21 8/7/2024

  22. A stone and bread may have looked similar in Jesus day, so we may not always recognize if something we re praying for is really good for us. God always knows. Human fathers are protective fathers, but none approach God as a Father, so Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Pet 1:3). In My House 10 22 8/7/2024

  23. 1. Hes A Good Disciplinarian A good father loves his children, but he doesn t let them get away with murder. He strongly disapproves of his children s misdeeds, using tough love to prove a point. He does this through the power of his words, not his fists. He doesn t reward his children for actions that are expected of them, such as helping around the house or performing well in school. In My House 10 23 8/7/2024

  24. 2. He Allows His Kids To Make Mistakes A good father realizes that his children are human, and that making mistakes is part of growing up. Spending money recklessly, making poor decisions, squandering time are part of childhood/adolescent irresponsibility. In My House 10 24 8/7/2024

  25. 3. Hes Open-minded A good father understands that times, people and tastes change over the years, and he allows his children to move with the times and not be stuck in his past. In My House 10 25 8/7/2024

  26. 4. He Teaches His Children To Appreciate Things A good father never lets his children take what they have for granted. From the food on the table to the good education he s paying for, a good father will make his children see value in everything they have. He ll ask his child to get a job to help pay for a part of his first car and take the time to illustrate how important a good education is. He doesn t let his kids treat him like an ATM. 27. In My House 10 27 8/7/2024

  28. Church Order 57-0915 Others will not listen to anything we say, especially the children. The children are supposed to know discipline, they should get it at home. But even if it's mine, my kids get in here at any time, they get disorderly, or whoever it might be. You tell me, I'll see to it. If they can't behave, then they'll stay away from church till they do learn to behave. This is not an arena, this is the house of God. This is not a place to play, write notes, laugh and cut up, this is the house of God, and is to be carried out godly. You come here to worship, not even to visit. In My House 10 28 8/7/2024

  29. This is not a picnic ground, this is not a visitation place; this is the visitation place of the Holy Spirit, listen to what He has to say, not to one another. We don't come here to fellowship with one another, we come here to fellowship with Christ. This is the house of worship. And children must be disciplined of the parents. Let it be known! If these parents of the children will not listen to what these deacons said, then this parent should be corrected themselves. In My House 10 29 8/7/2024

  30. I PETER 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In My House 10 30 8/7/2024

  31. Maintain open lines of communication by: Listening without interrupting what your children have to say Using nonverbal communication such as eye contact, tone of voice, and gestures to say exactly what you mean (eg. nod to show you understand) Keeping your emotions in check regardless of what they say, remain calm and sensible. Try to remain open-minded rather than leaping to conclusions, and ask questions to explain anything you re confused about. In My House 10 31 8/7/2024

  32. II TIMOTHY 2:24-26 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. Our Simple Confession 32 2-18-12

  33. FELLOWSHIP.WITH.GOD.THROUGH.RECONCILIATION 10 ...we don't have to be ashamed of Christianity; we don't have to be ashamed or afraid of any of God's Word; It's every bit the truth. And God has sovereignly given us a promise of His eternal Word. And don't be afraid to trust It, because I'm 46 yrs. old, and I've never seen a time that that I was afraid to hang my soul upon any phase of His Word, because It's the truth. 06-21-2020 56-0120 The Role of Fathers 33
