  2. RDA NACO-Related Activities Online training completed in Nov. 2012 Post-training review 16 catalogers have been reviewed by CJK NACO Project reviewers-- 8 are independent as of mid-March 2014. Some were reviewed by their institutional reviewers (status unknown) 6 new catalogers (in 2 institutions) joined the project in 2013

  3. RDA NACO-Related Activities Workshops co-sponsored with CEAL CTP: 1) March 2013 CJK NACO Workshop RDA highlights, updates, etc. 53 people registered 2) March 2014 Advanced CJK NACO Workshop 40 people registered

  4. CJK NACO Best Practices Document To clarify cataloging rules and provide recommendations for dealing with CJK NACO records Location: CJK NACO Project website http://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/naco/CJK/CJK%20NAC O%20Best%20Practice.doc Current topics: Names with jin shi ( ) or ju ren ( ) dates Treatment of / / / and <Place> , etc. Treatment of and / for personal names Abbreviations in 670 $b Treatment of variant pronunciations of characters ( ) Romanization of ambiguous place names Will be updated when new topics are proposed

Future Plans Maintain and update CJK NACO Project website Engage in discussions related to CJK NACO authority work and work with relevant parties to develop best practices Organize CJK NACO trainings or webinars as needed Participate in CJK authority record clean-up projects as needed, e.g., conversion of Taiwan place names from WG to pinyin, etc. Increase no. of CJK NACO contributors and reviewers
