Pat CJBO Mission & Coaching Philosophy Mission Statement: To provide a positive and educational baseball experience while promoting skill development, sportsmanship, and having fun. Coaching Philosophy: Relationship First approach to reach the hearts of our players and earn their trust. To instill confidence, motivation, and servant leadership to equip and prepare our players for the next levels of both baseball and life. 4

Pat League Background League Background JBO (Junior Baseball Organization) CJBO in an association within JBO Governed by the District (CCJBA) and State Organizations https://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp ?url=ccjba Home (juniorbaseballorg.com) 3 Districts Clackamas County Westside (west Portland area) Valley (Salem area) 3 primary differences from other leagues Play to high school rules (i.e. leading off, stealing, balk rules in play) Separation of players by grade and skill levels League play with other HS feeder programs Minor, Junior and Senior Levels Different size fields for each level of play Minor (45/60) Junior (50/70) Senior (60/90) Players are divided into 3 separate skill levels National recreational level American intermediate skilled level Federal highest/advanced skilled level Players go through and assessment process and are banded to each skill level. Coaches are not assigned until banding is complete Entire line-up still bats at levels 6

Banessa Registration Registration Our current numbers stand 135 (JBO at 86) 2023 numbers were 118 (JBO at 73) General registration open until February 2nd (3rd- 8th grade) Rookie registration open until March 1st T-Ball registration open until March 1st Scholarships are available www.clackamasjuniorbaseball.com to register 8
Pat Assessments Dates Assessments Dates No spectators allowed, please remain in your vehicles February 2nd Minors: 10-11:30 am Juniors: 11:30- 1pm Seniors: 1-2:30 pm Players are required to attend assessments It gives prospective coaches the opportunity to assess players themselves for a more efficient and fair draft process JBO system mandates this assessment. Our evaluation committee assists our board members with banding players at the appropriate level Conflicts will be treated on a case-by-case basis Federal call backs Feb 5th Minors: 5pm Juniors: 6pm Seniors: 7pm 9
Pat Assessment Details Assessment Details Location Clackamas High School varsity field and hitting facility An evaluation committee will determine skill level Includes HS baseball staff and former coaches NON-PARENT baseball experts Board members role is to ensure a thorough, efficient, and fair evaluation process. Board members will band based upon the evaluations submitted by independent evaluation committee Federal teams are selected by the evaluation committees, NOT THE BOARD or PROSPECTIVE COACHES! Assessments based on: Playing catch Infield/outfield work/running bases Hitting Pitching as necessary Drill will take place outside Players must bring the following: Bat, glove and helmet Athletic shoes and cleats (no metal) No cleats in the Big House Prospective coaches allowed for their own draft evaluations Prospective coaches DO NOT evaluate for skill level placement (only for draft exercise) 10

Coffee, Jerky, Popcorn & Swag !!! RipCity Popcorn Fundraising timeline: March 31st Team parent zoom meeting April 1st-15th - Fundraising runs. (SELL, SELL, SELL!!!)
