With whom Pro-tukipiste works? People selling sexual services in Finland / includes thewhole varietyof thecommercial sex scene, all genders, all nationalities - Tailored information about health, services, rightsand legislation; short-term support and counselling - Participation in community based activities - STIGMA => exclusion, isolation People selling sexual services in Finland/ various vulnerabilities, sex for compensation - Cumulation of different vulnerabilities likecontinues risk for financial, physical and sexual abuse; substance abuse, mental health problems, homelessness, lack of skills to use public services, no access to services - The need for more in-depth assistance and long-term processes; collaboration with other service providers People living in veryvulnerable circumstances and who areorareat risk to be exploited in the sex industry (trafficking in human beings orotherserious crimes)
What Pro-tukipiste does? Service provision low treshold services: freeof charge, anonymous, easy to access drop-in services, chat on-line individual support, social services and healt care services outreach work; outdoors, indoors, on-line community involvement
Basic values: Equality Participation - collaboration and co-creation Transparency - no hidden agenda - respect of self determination
Service users inclusion in every level Planning the services Inviting service users to be partof the planning process brings up thevariety of needs; onesize does not fit to all; words matter Providing the services Client sown wish and opinion is a starting point Service provision is a process of negotiationand a dialogue Client sown expertise is always present Peer activity, peerwork Evaluation of the services whatworks and whatdoes not, how to develope, what is missing, whoweare dropping out
