1. Clinical Research Patient Registration Clinical Research Patient Registration Step One: GENERAL REGISTRATION Registering New Patients: All research participants enrolled in an applicable clinical research study conducted at UTHealth must have a medical record number (MRN) in GE Centricity/AllScripts. STEP TWO: RESEARCH REGISTRATION ( RESEARCH FLAG ) Flagging the patient as a Research Participant in GE will automatically interface to ALLSCRIPTS All Clinicians will know patient is participating in a research study Biller/Coders will use additional caution entering charges

2. Clinical Research Patient Registration Clinical Research Patient Registration Does your patient already have an MRN in GE/Allscripts? No: Follow clinic procedures for registering new patients. Yes: Great! skip to step 2 Research Flag .

3. Research Participant Flag Research Participant Flag Open patient record in GE Left Menu: Patient Service Click on Demographics

4. Research Participant Flag Research Participant Flag Research Flag interfaces to Allscripts Check Research Box Off Study Date (Estimated completion date) On study Date (Typically the Date Consent signed)

5. Clinical Research Clinical Research Patient Registration Patient Registration Clinical Research Participant Flagging Clinical Research Participant Flagging Research Coordinators interested in training can go through GE Centricity Class Track for registration and scheduling. To view provider schedules, attend the Allscripts training program.

6. Clinical Research Patient Registration-MHH Note: If patients are to be seen at Memorial Herman Hospital or Memorial Herman Clinics: MMH Patient Registration Form should be completed and submitted to MHH Patient Access Representative (PARs) *Call CRF with any questions at 713-500-3073
