Clinical Research Training Center Office of Training Grants Training Grants Database REDCAP Pilot REDCAP Overview designed by Vanderbilt s CTSA to store study data Benefits: Free, HIPAA Compliant, easily customizable, can send out surveys/email to track trainee data, can develop custom reports, flexible privacy settings, outside feeds.
Clinical Research Training Center Office of Training Grants Training Grants Database REDCAP Pilot ICTS has provided seed $ to build out TG Database in REDCAP (Informatics Programmers) Initial model complete by end of February 2018 Pilot/testing phase: March-July Working Group (sign up) Roll out to other programs: Fall 2018

Scientific Editing Service A new resource supported by DOM and the ICTS that works with ICTS members to strengthen and clarify extramural grant applications. Editors work with faculty to: Highlight significance and impact Enhance clarity and conciseness Improve logical flow Identify inconsistencies Respond to and incorporate reviewer feedback Eliminate grammatical and typographical errors Priority given to: Translational investigators with previous engagement with ICTS programs Early stage investigators moving to independent funding Faculty within DOM (must be ICTS members)
Scientific Editing Service Workflow Author submits a Service Request Form for Consultation or Editing. If accepted, the author receives a Job Number. For consultation, editor contacts author. For editing, author submits grant documents by completing the Document Submission Form. PI meets with SES for consultation CONSULTATION PI submits request for consultation or editing service SES accepts service request FAST TRACK EDITING EDITING PI submits documents for editing SES edits the documents SES and PI discuss the edited grant PI submits final grant version to the funding agency
