  3. Fill in the blanks- a) Lucknow is famous for Chikankari. b) Rajasthan and Gujarat are famous for tie and dye. c) Synthetic fibre like nylon is made in the factories. d) Cotton fibres are obtained from cotton plants. e) Different patterns and print are created by skilled craftsmen.

  4. Write T for true and F for false- a) The roots of a turmeric plant is used for making deep yellow colour. (T) b) Red, orange and blue are the primary colours used in dyes. (F) c) Silk is obtained from silk plant. (F) d) Wool is obtained from hair of sheep and rabbit.(T) e) Synthetic dyes are made by mixing different petals of different flowers. (F)

  6. Q3- Define embroidery. Ans- Beautiful patterns created on any cloth or fabric using needle or thread is known as embroidery. Q4-Differentiate between Block Printing and Ikkat. Ans- Block Printing Ikkat 1- Wooden blocks with design carved on them are dipped in colour and then pressed on clothes. 1- Cotton or Silk clothes are wrapped in bundles and tied with water- resistant material.
