Description Challenges In-person All return albeit with restrictions Social distancing, PPE, transportation Remote All at-home with improvements Scheduling, child care Hybrid - by age Middle, high school at home Middle, high school at home Hybrid - by capacity A fraction of each grade/class attend in-person; others remote Child care, loss of seat time Close/open during the year Start one way, switch to other Transitions esp for at-risk Others?
How? Using the QSAC DPR areas to guide us... Instruction and Program - for example, will there be teacher/student flexibility or will we have a schedule? What about pre-assessments? How about tests? Fiscal - for example, how will we plan for increases in some areas and decreases in others? Governance - for example, which board policies/regulations need to be adjusted if we are remote or hybrid? Operations - for example, how can we run bus routes? What if someone becomes sick at school? How will we do lunch? Extracurriculars? Personnel - for example, do we need more of a particular position if we are remote vs in-person? How will ensure teacher safety?
