  1. College Admission Scandal Kyle Vestal

  2. What we know so far in the college admissions cheating scandal About 50 people, ranging from Hollywood actors to CEO's were involved in a U.S. college admission scandal. TV stars such as Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffmen were involved in the college admission scheme. These people bribed coaches with millions of dollars to ensure their kids could get into the top universities illegally. The parents are now facing charges and and many of their kids have been expelled from the university.

  3. College Scandal The parents payed William Rick Singer, who would then bribe college coaches or fake exam scores to get their kids into the college. The parents payed Rick Singer to bribe college officials or fake their kids exam scores. Singer hired a person that would take a test for the students. He also payed the test administrators. He bribed coaches because they could make recommendations for the student to go to the college. Singer was payed over $25 million dollars to help get the client's kid into a top college. I think this news occurred because a student or someone working at the school was suspicious of the coaches.

  4. Latest News About The Scandal Many universities have restructured it's review of student athletes as a result of the scandal. The universities have fired the coaches that were bribed by Singer. William Rick Singer pleaded guilty on March 12, 2019 and is going to prison for 65 years. A family from China paid Singer $6.5 million to help get their son enrolled into a university.

  5. Bias CBC is usually a reliable source, but they can have a liberal agenda because they are funded by the Canadian government. CNN can sometimes be biased and provide false information. The articles weren't very opinionated because the news wasn't related to politics. Neither organizations would have a motivation to slant the news. I believed the articles because they made a good argument by presenting facts against the parents. The titles are not misleading and are not biased.

  6. How Does This Issue Affect Us Already privleged kids and the parents still want to the cheat the system. Recently, Vancouver businessman David Sidoo was arrested for money laundering. This is the biggest college scandal of all time. Some Canadian students may want to go to one of these elite universities, but can't because someone cheated and bribed their way in.

  7. Questions Why do you think the parents cheated to get their kid into the universities? How can the universities prevent future college admission scandals? Why should or shouldn't the kids get punished?
