ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES (AP) ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES (AP) CollegeBoard Advanced Placement courses are in alignment with CollegeBoard. These classes are college level. Students will have the opportunity to take the AP test at the end of the course to possibly acquire college credit, depending on the student s score on the test and the particular university. AP classes also work to build skills for college courses. Students will be challenged in ways they may not have previously been in relation to writing skills and level of knowledge. OHS AP Courses
CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT/DUAL CREDIT CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT/DUAL CREDIT CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT IS HIGHLY DISCOUNTED, BUT IT IS NOT FREE! TUITION IS COVERED FOR UP TO 12 CREDIT HOURS JUNIOR YEAR AND 18 CREDIT HOURS SENIOR YEAR. STUDENTS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR FEES (USUALLY BETWEEN $100-$200 PER CLASS). CAREER CONNECTIONS PROGRAM (ELECTIVE) CAREER CONNECTIONS PROGRAM (ELECTIVE) What is the Career Connections Program (CCP)? Students either secure their own job or internship or we help place you with a business partner or within Owasso Public Schools (paid or unpaid) 1 hour on your schedule (110 hrs semester) and 2 hours on your schedule (220 hrs semester) Program Requirements: Must be able to provide own transportation Must be credit sufficient for junior and senior years Maintain a 2.0 GPA/70% or better in each class Student employed by family will not be considered Maintain job/internship throughout the entirety of the school year Program paperwork is required at the beginning of the semester to be released to your job/internship CCP 11/12.mp3
