Team Goals 1) Represent Colleyville Heritage High School with class and sportsmanship at all times. 2) Be the team others measure themselves against. 3) No zeros. Score points in every event. 4) Represent CHHS at Regional and State Competition. 5) Have FUN.

Objectives for Your Coaches 1. To treat you with respect and be honest with you 2. To provide the leadership and training necessary to achieve goals 3. To assist you in any way possible now and after you graduate 4. To make decisions as to what is best for the team, then what is best for the individual 5. To do everything within our power to improve our program, make our program the BEST and
Typical Daily Schedule AM distance practice with Coach Taylor 4:15 4:30 TEAM Warm-Up Boys West (w/ Coach Hundley) Girls East (w/ Coach Lee/Taylor) 4:30 5:00 - Work-Out (w/ specific event coaches) 5:00 5:15 - Cool Down / Stretch (We will practice everyday)
Excuses - Keep you from doing your best You are not improving as a track & field athlete if you are . at tutorials, retesting (go in the am!) at work in the training room or doctor s office
Spring Break We will have practice over Spring Break. (Times TBA) Distance runners will have a meet.
Injuries Tell your coach. Go see the trainers. We have two excellent trainers. Report back to your coach with what the trainers told you to do.
Meets 1. All help set up Team Camp. 1. For us - not your friends or other teams 2. For competition preparations. 2. Warm-Up as a team. 3. Be at the event area at the right time. 4. Cool down after the competition. 5. Cheer for teammates. 6. All help clean up and load bus.
Team WHAT IT TAKES TO BE ON THE TEAM 1. Present at all workouts and have communicated with coaches when absent. 2. Eligible under UIL guidelines. 3. Displayed a positive work ethic and attitude during the week. 4. Be in good standing with the coach.
Varsity WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE ON THE VARSITY 1. The above 1 through 4. 2. Be in the top 3 out of all athletes in an event that week. 3. Be a role model for the rest of the team. 4. Have a positive impact on the team.
Lettering Policy Lettering - to reward those athletes who were integral parts of team success by contributing the following: 1. Attitude - Willing to sacrifice individualism for good of the team. 2. Ability - Contributed in both practice and competitions at the Varsity level. 3. Conduct - type of person that coaches, parents, faculty, and community will be proud to be a representative of CHHS. 4. GPA - Must have passing grades. Score 10 points in Varsity competition. Score any points at the district meet in the varsity division.

To Practice Jan. 21st PHYSICAL and MEDICAL HISTORY forms must be on file with the trainers and ONLINE ATHLETIC FORMS must be filled out at https://grapevinecolleyville.rankonesport.com/Main/Defaul t2.aspx?Type=4
Few athletes will ever have enough SELF- DISCIPLINE to do the extra. Even a smaller group of athletes will be DISTRICT CHAMPIONS, REGIONAL CHAMPIONS, or STATE CHAMPIONS. The choice is yours!
