Provider Services Unit Goal: ensure the safety, care, and well-being of all children and youth that live in out of home placement, to include Day Treatments, throughout the State of Colorado Provider Development Manager: Amy Hixson Licensing Specialists: work with providers to meet and adhere to all requirements necessary for their particular license with the State Performance Management Manager: Laurie Burney Monitoring Specialists: complete Licensing investigations as they relate to agency/facility culpability as described in 12 CCR 2509-8 and Volume 7 6

  7. CPAs are licensed and monitored by the Provider Services Unit. When licensed the CPA agrees to abide by all applicable state statutes, rules, regulations, and directives from the State Department. Foster Home Child Placement Agency (CPA) CPAs act as the governing body over the foster homes they certify in accordance with 12 CCR 2509-8 (7.710). Provider Services Unit (PSU) 7

  8. Expectations CPAs (foster parents), RCCFs, PRTFs, are expected to cooperate, be responsive, and honest in all interactions with the County and State workers. CPAs (foster parents), RCCFs, PRTFs, are required to be truthful and transparent in all interactions and communications including discussions and documentation they provide to the county and state departments. 8
