  1. WG7 TO FIGHT POVERTY & SOCIAL EXCLUSION OF MARGINALISED COMMUNITIES IN THE DANUBE REGION, ESPECIALLY THE ROMA COMMUNITIES

  2. The issues employment fight against discrimination / anti-gypsyism positive discrimination targeting non- Roma population, incl. administration education monitoring (lack of ethnic data) integrated approach social housing

  3. Experiences employment/education challenges sustainability challenge after funding ends retaining Roma no future after education projects attitudes to employment (social benefits trap) solutions need for support and time need for role models, incl. hiring Roma in public positions to motivate Roma to change perceptions by non-Roma need for mentors

  4. Experiences housing challenges lack of social housing reluctance of private renters when social housing is provided poor mainstenance non-payment of utilities charges solutions need to involve Roma in construction & maintenance of social housing

  5. Next steps interest in pursuing WG activities partnering / twinning of projects analysis of survey data (to better design projects) production of documentary enlarging to Roma NGOS virtual exchange platform workshops
