CSBG COVID-19 Supplemental Funding 211info Request: $54,034 Need: Increase staff capacity to be available 24/7 through July to cover services in Clark County; increase staff capacity for near constant updates to the database for accurate program info; increase staff capacity to extend partnership with CFTH to answer housing hotline calls after hours. Clark County Food Bank Fresh Alliance Program Request: $40,750 Need:Clark County s current partnership pays for part of the Fresh Alliance program. This request would cover the remaining costs of the program so that Clark County Food Bank could reallocate general operating funds to cover increased staff and food costs due to reduced volunteerism, skyrocketing demand, and increased costs to purchase food. 5/5/2020 Community Action Advisory Board 3

CSBG COVID-19 Supplemental Funding Volunteer Lawyers Program Access to Justice Request: $145,000 Need: Additional staff to help the anticipated 50% increase in services over the next 2 years, including new services for DV Protection Orders not previously provided due to request from current DV system. Additional staff include a program coordinator to organize training for attorneys in areas in employment, tenant defense and DV protection orders, staff a new DV docket and provide administrative assistance. This will also include hiring an attorney to increase employment law support as there is not enough capacity in our current system. Clark College Financial Wellness Program Request: $60,351 Need: Increase staff capacity to provide individualized financial wellness coaching to an additional 300 students. Other funds have been secured for emergency grant assistance. 5/5/2020 Community Action Advisory Board 4

CSBG COVID-19 Supplemental Funding Partners in Careers Career Academy Request: $51,741 Need: Increase staff capacity and office supplies to provide remote services and accommodate smaller class sizes. Provide equipment to participants to participate remotely including loaning laptops, hotspots and providing data/phone services. Share Hunger Response Request: $99,900 Need: Increase staff capacity and food costs to meet skyrocketing demand. Agency is using staff to provide services previously completed by volunteers and has seen a significant increase in food costs due to need to purchase through grocery stores instead of food bank (lack of capacity at food bank) along with rising costs of food. 5/5/2020 Community Action Advisory Board 5
