  2. Quick Facts All of our high school programs are based on MSDE Programs of Study. They count as Career Completers . Students who successfully complete the programs are eligible for Articulated Credit through CCBC. All high schools are eligible to offer the Computer Science program. (Some offer CS as an elective.) Beginning in 2016-2017 we will have Foundations of Computer Science and AP Computer Science offered as a Tech. Ed. credit. IT Cisco Networking is offered at 8 sites countywide. Middle School Business-Computer Science is available to schools to choose to offer. It is relatively new and growing. Elementary Schools can include computer related topics as supplements to their curriculum.

MIDDLE SCHOOL Business/Computer Science MS 6 # 35.0260.0 This course focuses on business and computer science related skills such as: Keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Web 2.0 tools, introductory computer programming and Cyber Safety. It provides for hands-on application of the Common Core Language, Math, and Career Readiness standards. It is geared toward students in grade 6. Business/Computer Science MS 7 # 35.0270.0 This course focuses on business and computer science related skills such as: Microsoft Office, Web 2.0 tools, computer programming and Cyber Safety. It provides for hands-on application of the Common Core Language, Math, and Career Readiness standards. It is geared toward students in grade 7. *** This course builds on skills learned in 6th grade, but will also easily adapt for students transferring into school in 7th grade. Business/Computer Science MS 8 # 35.0280.0 This course focuses on advanced business and computer science related skills such as: Advanced Microsoft Office, Web 2.0 tools, computer programming and Cyber Safety. It provides for hands-on application of the Common Core Language, Math, and Career Readiness standards. It is geared toward students in grade 8. *** This course builds on skills learned in 7th grade, but will also easily adapt for students transferring into school in 8th grade.
