1910.146 (d ) PRCS PROGRAM 1. Implement measures to prevent unauthorized entry 2. Identify & evaluate hazards before employees enter 3. If multiple spaces are to be monitored by one attendant, include in the permit program the means & procedures to enable the attendant to respond to an emergency affecting one or more of the spaces being monitored w/out distracting from attendant s primary responsibilities 8. Develop & implement a system for preparation, issuance, use & cancellation of entry permits as required 11. 1910.146 (d ) PRCS PROGRAM 12. Develop & implement procedures (such as closing off a permit space & canceling the permit) necessary for concluding the entry after operation are completed 13. Review entry operations when the employer has reason to believe that measures taken under the PRCS program may not protect employees and revise program to correct deficiencies before subsequent entries are made 14. Review the program within 1 year after each entry and revise as necessary to ensure participating employees are protected from PRCS hazards March 17, 2025 Slide 7
