CEAP Conservation CEAP Conservation (DSS) Heating System Repair or Replacement The repair or replacement of unsafe or inoperable heating systems and oil tanks. Generally, systems are replaced with the same type of system that became unsafe or inoperable. Clean, Tune & Test (CTT) The clean, tune and test of heating equipment for eligible households. CEAP Conservation Eligible Dwellings Funds may be used to service heating systems in owner-occupied or life-tenant occupied single- family dwellings. Renters may qualify for CTT services, which may include minor repairs necessary to complete the CTT. However, renters are not eligible for larger repairs or replacements. Additionally, renters must obtain landlord approval to access CTT services. Eligibility Criteria Replacements will be performed for eligible dwellings with heating systems or oil tanks deemed unsafe or inoperable. Work will be conducted by competitively selected contractors. Funding is available exclusively for households enrolled in the CEAP. Vulnerable households under CEAP may be prioritized for assistance. The provisions of services is contingent on the household s eligibility and the availability of funds. Important Note: Authorizations for fuel deliveries are not allowed if a household s heating system or fuel tank has been red tagged by a certified vendor or contractor.
