  1. Body, Spirit & Soul

  2. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

  3. BODY SPIRIT SOUL Flesh Born Again Mind Intellect Emotions Luke 1:46 And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Gen 3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.

  4. Hebrews 4:12 AMP For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

  5. Proverbs 25:28 Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls. Ezekiel 36:25 - 27 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do [them]. Proverbs 23:7(a) For as he thinks in his hears, so is he.

BODY reacts to instructions from the SOUL SOUL is fed/influenced by what the BODY feeds it BODY SPIRIT connects to God and God connects to our SPIRIT through His Holy Spirit God Instruct our SPIRIT SPIRIT food is the Word of God, Prayer, Intimacy with God, Godly fellowship, Godly teaching etc SOUL SOUL interprets instructions from our SPIRIT What we receive from God in the Spirit is tainted by what is in our SOULS (what we have been feeding ourselves) SPIRIT

  7. Protection We all protect what is valuable to us Phone House Car Children Parents Bank Account Online Accounts

  8. What about our Spirit?

  9. Ever heard someone say: Trust your heart? Jeremiah 17:9 AMP The heart is deceitful above all things And it is extremely sick; Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives?

  10. How do you protect your Spirit? I Thessalonians 5:19-21 NKJV Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. If only we had a Spiritual Firewall BODY SOUL SPIRIT

  11. Galatians 5:19-23 NET Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity, idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions, envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. . I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God! But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self- control. Against such things there is no law. 1 John 2:16 AMP For all that is in the world the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes and the boastful pride of life [pretentious confidence in one s resources or in the stability of earthly things] these do not come from the Father, but are from the world.

  12. This is what we should strive for BODY SOUL SPIRIT

  13. Romans 8:1-11 NKJV 1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God [did] by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those [who live] according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded [is] death, but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ [is] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin, but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
