Conservation International (CI) utilizes the METT (Management Effectiveness Tracking Tool) to assess and monitor the management effectiveness of protected areas, fostering support from partners and stakeholders. The METT process involves conducting assessments annually, consolidating and analyzing data, and reporting achievements to the Board of Directors. Despite successes in gathering assessments and fostering partnerships, CI faces challenges such as lack of funding, ensuring accurate completion of scorecards, and maintaining momentum for monitoring and evaluation (M&E). The statistics show an average increase in management effectiveness across the assessed countries between 2013 and 2014.
