The program aims to recruit and connect Spartan Advocates with state legislators to influence dialogue and highlight MSU's impact on the state. The Spartan Advocate Spartan Advocate is an initiative of MSU s Government Relations office, powered with a website that has facts, resources, and opportunities to help people communicate the importance of supporting Michigan State University and higher education to the state of Michigan elected officials, the media, and more. Currently, we have nearly 4,000 Spartans actively engaged and ready to advocate for higher education funding, MSU Extension and AgBioResearch, and many other issues. Goals: 1. Recruit MSU students, alumni, faculty/staff, and partners across the state of MI to become Spartan Advocates Connect influential Spartan Advocates with state legislators to build relationships, advocate, and share their personal MSU stories Influence dialogue about MSU to include our economic & social impact and value to the state of Michigan and its families 2. 3. mispartanimpact.msu.edu 4
