Political action Bill of Rights states over and above the right to healthcare, food, water & social security, that the right to life and inherent dignity respected is to be guaranteed for all South Africans. Constitution affords everyone to have equal enjoyment of rights. Social determinant to rights and access to healthcare.   4. WHAT CAN BE DONE? WHAT CAN BE DONE? TB being a national emergency The TB recovery plan necessitates increased linkage to care. How can we improve this to 90% Need for coordinated action, priority and transparency Strengthening community outreach with focused investment in priority districts Need for CHW S that are well trained, well-staffed clinics and efficient collection of results - better use of sms notification system Amidst uncertainty on future funding flows, it is essential that parliament considers how existing publicly funded health care capacity is optimized and prioritizes those with the greatest need. 17 November 2023 A CALL FOR COORDINATED INTERVENTION A CALL FOR COORDINATED INTERVENTION 4 4

HOW CAN OTHERS BE INVOLVED? 500 million rand for TB community outreach included in the district health grant Is this a way we can effectively utilise CHW s to increase testing in priority groups need to seek guidance from NDOH to the extent to which this will happen. Civil society being a part of response: TAC s District Campaign Team incorporation into programme intervention in high-burden districts, contributing to a better quality of access. CS can contribute to supporting in finding missing persons.
