Why Corporate Wellness Matters 1. Reduces elevated health risk 2. Reduces health care cost 3. Improves productivity 4. Decreases both absenteeism and presenteeism 5. Builds and helps sustain high employee morale *Studies indicate the most successful weight loss programs are face-to- face individual or classroom sessions meeting at least 14 times over a 6- month period. 3

I will continue to employ strategies that have proven effective, including: Continuing to offer brown bag presentations twice yearly Offering cooking demonstrations annually Presenting at safety moments and promoting wellness programming Walking programs every 2 weeks at the conclusion of follow-up classes 8

4 Steps to grow participation 1. Promote nutrition/wellness programs directly to employees by e- blast 2. Promote programing with banners on first page of company website 3. Recruit a wellness champion in each department to promote programing 4. Find alternate channels for promotions (i.e. wellness bulletin board in each department)
