Regarding security Attacks can happen anywhere COSPAR 2018 California accident in 2015 COSPAR headquarters Paris -accident in 2015 COSPAR in Moscow 2014- several hundred potential participants did not come because of situation
Security during COSPAR 2016 our Turkish hosts were requested to address the matter and as a first step wrote to the Provincial Directorate of Security of the Governorate of Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, to bring to the attention of the appropriate authorities the presence of COSPAR next year. The Directorate has responded, officially indicating that intelligence works will be concentrated and security measures taken at a time closer to the date of the meeting depending on the conditions prevalent on the relevant date.
The Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) World Humanitarian Summit 2016 about 3000 people attending, World Congress of Energy 2016 about 4000 attendees hotels will be within walking distance to the ICC, and there will be a food court inside the center for participants who want to stay inside ICC for lunch.
