Court Orders and Court Accopmaniments Updated 20/01/2023
Glossary Accompaniment - this is used to record planned accompaniments where clients have requested that staff go with them to any activity or meeting in the community. This can be appointed to particular staff. Accompaniment is one of the Service Intervention types. Court Support Records (Court Accompaniment, Other Court/Legal Support) - This is undertaken where client requests support for legal processes, or wants to be accompanied by a staff member to court. It can be part of the one to one support work, or a standalone piece of work done at a court- based outreach service. This will connect to other sections of the system including Court Order records. 2
Adding Court Order For Support Plan Objectives in Legal/Court domain, you can add details of the Court Orders. Find a Court Orders related list and click on the 1) New button. Note: You can also add a Court Order record from the related list on the Client file. 3
Fill in the details of the Court Order. Fill in the details of the second Court Order (if required) and click Save. 4
Next Court Date Accompaniment On the Court Orders related list you will a message see that there is no accompaniment record for next court date. To create such record, click 1) on the name of this Court Order. 2) Click Create Next Court Date Accompaniment 5
Fill in the details of the Next Court Date Accompaniment and click 1) Next. Continue filling in the details of the Next Court Date Accompaniment and click 2) Next. 6
You can link this record to one of the existing Support Plan Objectives or create a new one. Click 3) Next. You will see a message confirming that Court Accompaniment Intervention was added and linked to one or more Support Objectives. Click 4) Next and then 5) Finish. 7
If you selected the Add to my calendar checkbox when creating the next court accompaniment, you will be able to see a record for it in your calendar. Go to 1) Calendar tab and 2) select a date range. The Accompaniment record will also appear as a related Intervention on the Support Plan Objective record. 8
Updating Court Accompaniment record After the court date passed, take next steps to update your records: 1) Go to the relevant Support Plan Objective record for this Client 2) Find a relevant Intervention in the Related Interventions list 3) Change Intervention Status (e.g. from Booked to Attended) and record Outcome Type (e.g. Granted or Adjourned) 4) Go back to the Support Plan Objective record and find a relevant Court Order in a related list. 9
5) Update the Court Order record (e.g. add Outcome at last court appearance and Next Court Date) 6) Create Next Court Date Accompaniment, if required. 10
Court Order Events To cater for multiple court-order related events to be linked to an accompaniment, and multiple events to be linked to a court order, Court Events functionality was introduced in release 1.28. This is an optional feature and can be requested through Enclude Support. Changes include: amended New Service Intervention flow for Court accompaniments new related lists on the Court Order and Court Accompaniment screens How does it work? When entering a service intervention that is a court accompaniment, you now get the option to link the service intervention to an existing Court order after you have entered the Court Accompaniment details. Note: this step is optional and you can proceed without selecting a Court Order. 11
On saving the Court accompaniment, details about the court order type and the outcome (if provided) are saved in a related Court Order Event record. This can be accessed from the Court accompaniment record and (if one was selected) from the Court Order record. New Court Order Events can be added from both of these records if needed. 12
Enter the required details then Save or Save & New as required. 13
