Daily COVID-19 Screening Protocol STAFF Staff members will check their temperature before leaving home in the morning or see a Screener in the parking lot before entering the building to have their temperature taken. Teachers with a temperature of 100 F will not be allowed on campus. STUDENTS Parents/Guardians must turn in the COVID-19 Screening Waiver by the first day of school. This is available on the Nurse page on the AAA website. Screening questions will also be posted on signs along the drop-off lane to remind parents of the screening criteria. The screening questions are: Has your child had a fever of 100.4 F or greater in the last 2 days? Has your child had a cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of taste or smell? Has your child been in contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days? Students in carline will have their temperature taken prior to exiting the car by staff using no-touch thermometers. If the first temperature taken is 99.5 or greater, the nurse will then recheck the temperature with a tympanic thermometer. A student with a temperature of 100 F will be sent home. Students who walk will have their temperature taken prior to entering the building.
