  3. Why have you chosen to apply for the courses you have? You might have different reasons for applying. For example: Completing the course will help you pursue the career you want. You have a strong interest in the subject. Completing the course will allow you to progress to a higher level of study. Show that you are enthusiastic about studying the courses you have chosen and that you have a clear idea of how it will be of value to you.

  4. What makes you suitable? We want to know that you ll be a good student, well-suited to the demands of the course. Therefore, we want to hear about your experience, your interests and your skills. Think about your activities, inside and outside school. Which ones are most relevant to the course you re applying for? Maybe you: Play in a sports team or club Play a musical instrument or attend dance lessons Have gained relevant work experience Have won an award or completed a project Have done some volunteering

  5. Know what the course involves You need to show that you have an idea what the course is about. Pick something from the course that you find interesting and exciting and state why.

  6. Skills What skills do you have and could bring to sixth form or college? For example: Leadership skills (give an example) Time management skills Critical thinking skills Interpersonal skills Decision-making skills Teamwork skills
