Cross-Border Labor Mobility in Central Europe: Insights from TRANSLAB-Project
Research explores cross-border labor mobility in Central European Region (Centrope) with focus on reasons, wages, job strategies, life satisfaction, social networks, and working conditions. Centrope, with 6.5 million residents across eight federal provinces, has undergone significant economic, social, political, and legal changes post-Soviet Union dissolution, EU enlargement, and removal of labor movement barriers. The region's fertility rates from 1990 to 2012 are also analyzed, showcasing fluctuations across countries like Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.
