XC Contingency Group May 27, 2020

What we know today: Summer has started! Phase 1 guidance has been provided to member schools. Phase 2 and 3 to be released highly dependent upon policy/recommendations from others.
What we know today: The NFHS has released Guidance for Opening Up High School Athletic and Activities The OHA has released Summer Camp guidance Actions of AD s and coaches over the next two months will determine what we look like in Sept.
What we can anticipate: Liability and financial concerns will impact decisions on how Districts proceed Facilities Practice/Competition Travel Fragmentation will occur in the youth and high school spaces need to be prepared for conflicting policies.
Meeting #2 Focus Questions How has the release of OSAA Phase 1 guidance been received? What types of activities are you structuring for your athletes?
Meeting #2 Focus Questions Continued use of face masks and physical distancing are likely to be a part of any recommendation until a vaccine is available. As we move through the different phases it is likely that group size will increase. What does practice look like as we move through the next couple of months?
Meeting #2 Focus Questions What about competition? If we have similar safety guidelines in place as the season starts are large invitationals feasible? Worst case scenario duals only? Interval timing methods?
