NYS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH INTERIM GUIDANCE FOR IN -PERSON INSTRUCTION
NYDOH REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: Capacity: phase-in plan for the number of students, faculty and staff able to return in person. Social Distancing: develop procedures to ensure appropriate social distancing when on school buses, buildings and grounds for all. Face Coverings: plan to ensure all who enter a school building or school bus have the required face coverings. Hygiene, Cleaning and Disinfecting: develop procedures for school-wide cleaning and disinfecting of all learning and common spaces within schools and buses. Training and education regarding hand and respiratory hygiene for all members of the school community.
NYDOH REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: Transportation: develop procedures which include face coverings at all times appropriate social distancing whenever possible Food Service: procedures for onsite and remote food service for students ensuring social distancing. Screenings: procedures for mandatory health screenings for all, including temperature checks. School Health Offices: procedures for isolating and safely caring for a student or staff member if they develop symptoms of COVID-19 during the school day. Contact Tracing: plans to support local health department with contact tracing should the need arise.
