Providing resources for student wellness, the CSUSB Recreation and Wellness Center and Student Health Center promote healthy living and well-being through various programs and services. From fitness classes and recreational activities to health education and counseling, these centers support the physical, mental, and emotional health of the CSUSB community.

Learning Outcomes Students will gain a foundational understanding of wellness and our seven dimensions of wellness. Students will recognize and apply the YOU @ CSUSB wellness platform in their campus experience.

Thrive Domain The thrive domain involves components that incorporate your physical and mental health. It involves way we feel, act, think and how we stay healthy. The dimensions associated with the thrive domain are our Emotional and Physical health. Let s check them out!
Emotional Health The ability to cope effectively with life and doing so in a healthy way. Emotional health includes self-care, relaxation, resiliency, stress reduction and the development of inner strength.
Physical Health The ability to balance physical activity, physical exercise and proper nutrition to keep your body healthy.
Party Safe While it may seem like everyone in college is drinking, smoking, and partying, that is often an assumption most students make. If you choose to use marijuana or drink, take necessary steps to ensure you're using them in the safest way possible Moderation is key! College is a fun and exciting time, but don't lose focus of why you're here!
General Tips For Both: Know your limit Always be around those you trust and Party Safe Alcohol Alternate between water and alcoholic drinks Avoid drinking games Eat before and during drinking Avoid pre-gaming (binge drinking) whom you feel safe with Never drive, use machinery or tools under the influence Avoid compromising situations. (Cannot give consent while under the influence) Know the legal consequences (underage drinking/driving) Marijuana Know what you're consuming, and how it will affect your body (Ex. edibles vs. smoking) Only time can sober you!

Succeed Domain The succeed domain involves components that incorporate your academics and your finances. This can be anything from choosing your major, academic resources and financial tips The dimensions involved with the succeed domain are Intellectual and Financial health. Let s check them out!
Intellectual Health Encourages us to engage in creative and mentally-stimulating activities. Intellectual wellness can be developed through academics, cultural involvement, community involvement and personal hobbies.
Financial Health The process of learning how to successfully manage financial expenses.

Spiritual Health Involves discovering a set of beliefs and values that bring purpose to your life. Discovering who you are as a person and what you strive to be. What guides your moral compass?
Social Health Your ability to building healthy, nurturing and supportive relationships Fostering a genuine connection with those around you.
Environmental Health Inspires us to be respectful of our surrounding and to live in harmony with the Earth by taking actions to protect it. Also, to occupy pleasant, stimulating environments that support our well-being.

How to Take the Assessment 1. Log onto your MyCoyote 2. Click on University life on the right hand side 3. Click on the You@CSUSB tile 4. Create Profile 5. Choose your assessment 6. Get your results!
How to Make a Goal 1. From the home page, click on View Goals: 2. Click, Start a New Goal 3. Choose to focus on either Thrive, Succeed or Matter 4. Either explore pre-made goals for inspiration, or create your own goal a. Fill in the details and set a reminder b. The more in depth you get, the more realistic it becomes 5. Done!
