CTIF Airport Commission Overview
CTIF aims to be the premier organization for rescue and firefighting services, particularly in Europe. The Airport Commission, one of CTIF's largest, collaborates with other entities like FEU and NFPA, engages with authorities, gains more member countries, and participates in conferences and seminars. Aim for CTIF : To be the no.1 organization for rescue and firefighting services. Aim for the Airport Commission to be the leading organization for ARFF services. Especially in Europe.
Activities: CTIF work closely with other organizations like FEU and NFPA. And authorities especially EU. Gets more member countries. (Japan.) And associated members (Companies.) Participate in conferences and seminars. Work closely with RFF companies. (Rosenbauer etc.)
CTIF Airport Commission. One of the biggest CTIF Commissions. (23 participants in Zurich.) Work closely against EASA. Have been official consultee for the EASA regulations since the work started. Many of the commission members participate in EASA workings groups. (EASA Regulating group ACI RFFS working group.) Participates in conferences as speakers or participants. Organize CTIF conferences. (Norway Finland). The commission have 2 of the vicepresidents in CTIF Executive Committee.
Future work. Still participating in the EASA regulation work. Participate in implementation of the new regulation in the countries. (TRA work.) As participants and advisors. Follow closely the development of new fire vehicles, extinguishing agents and equipment. Especially follow the development of new environmental demands for foam and the danger of fires in lithium batteries.
